WHC 2011 - All Things Scary!

Wow! Has it been THAT long? Yes, yes it has. And suddenly... it's APRIL!

World Horror Convention 2011!

• What: An annual gathering of professionals in the horror industry; publishers, authors, artists, musicians, filmmakers, dealers and, of course, horror fans. WHC serves as both an industry insider’s networking event and a chance for fans of the genre to get together, meet some of the creative talents in the field, and generally spend a weekend celebrating All Things Scary. • When: April 28th to May 1st


• Where: Austin, TX

I'll be driving down - rental car filled with the bear necessities - all day Wednesday, April 27th. SO looking forward to this con... but NOT the drive to get down there. 15 HOURS! GASP! You KNOW I'll be packing Life Waters, Bugles, Twinkies and TONS of CDs. And my camera, of course, to capture every morsel of this odd adventure! Oddventure?

And what will I be doing at WHC 2011?

• Mingling with horror authors (Joe Hill, Peter Straub, Brian Keene, Sarah Langan, Rio Youers and more), horror publishers AND horror artists, including my e-pal Vincent Chong, who I'll be "hanging" with while...


• Showing 15 pieces at the WHC Art Show, as well as books that I've "covered", 2 limited edition WHC-only photo prints for sale (1 of which I created especially for this con), my $1 Charlie the Tiger stickers and FREE Dead Clown Art stickers for EVERYBODY!


• LIVE PAINTING Friday, April 29th! Stoked (and nervous) for that! GULP!


• And enjoying the sites, sounds and tastes of Austin! Never been, so this'll be a RAD first for me!

I'll be live tweeting when I'm able from the con, then posting CRAZY stories and pics when I get back to DSM.
